Rain-lashed Tod

Well, I had a great time on Friday morning sharing coffees and writing tales with a couple of lovely, local writers - Pat and Shirley. And yup, next time we'll make it to the pub. And we'll order some sunshine in advance...
Of course, in some ways I'm a fraud as I've written so little this year (a PGCE takes up about 98% of the week!) but I'm going to get back to it, really I am.
Pat, I'm enjoying Sunlight on Shadows - thanks very much. I particularly appreciated it in the station waiting room, when I'd arrived to find my train just disappearing down the track...your story offered a lovely way to while away a spare half-hour.

Hi, Honeysuckle
In spite of the weather, it was great and, straight away, I felt as if we'd known each other for ages.

Sorry about the train - that'll teach us to watch the time. I'm glad Sunlight on Shadows helped the wait for the next train. The pictorial maps on my blog will show you where some of the story is set.

That's the great thing about being a writer, Pat - you don't mind those odd half hours waiting around. Even without anything to reading, you can always be brewing up something in your imagination. Well, I need to put some practice in at it these days but I'm sure I still could - I'm expert at staring into space.

Hi, Honeysuckle. Dropping by - belatedly - to say how good it was to meet you. Next time, we'll make it to the pub for a good long session. ;o)

What a shame about the train. I agree though; those odd half hours are great for writers. I tend to 'people watch' and make up 'lives' for everyone.
