Well, I'll have a couple of hours unexpected leisure time this afternoon and, with a choice of ways to fill it, what I'm favouring at the moment is a first attempt at setting up a website for the shop. My friend is very kindly hosting a page for us over at
partythings2go.co.uk (thanks, Lorraine!) but I'm trying to limit the items on there to those which tie in with partythings stock - so far I've managed pom pom maker kits, but there's more to come! (I put the pom pom maker kits together myself and felt pathetically proud when I sold a couple yesterday morning...)
Weaving kits anyone? French knitting? Hmmm, what else can we do...?
Am turning into a real yarn freak. Am now convinced there's more to colour therapy than meets the eye. Have just ordered some of this:
How gorgeous is that? Doesn't it lighten your mood just looking at it?

Yes - almost makes me want to drop the writing and take up crochet! Good luck with the shop which sounds fab. Open a second one near me, would you?
Rainbow wool, I love it! Makes me want to knit a scarf even though it's boiling outside :o) Good luck with the website.
What is French knitting? Does it involve cheese wine, perchance?
Making pom-poms at primary school is one of my earliest memories of being utterly immersed in something... oh! the agonies that went into carefully choosing each colour of wool... those were the days eh?
Hi Womagwriter - a second one?? It's an appealing thought (then I could buy even more yarn!) but gosh, this one's taking up plenty time as it is...
Karen - hi there. I wish more people felt like you; knitting's in the doldrums for the summer. Maybe the rain we're getting today will persuade people to pick up their needles.
Hi Spiral Skies - I suppose French knitting could involve cheese, but it would make the wool awfully smelly.
Does anyone know why I didn't type those three replies all in one box? No, me neither.
