Quiz time

This is a quiz to assess your Asperger's leanings - it's been on loads of blogs in the past but if you haven't already tried it, have a go. My family and friends all turned out to be gloriously normal whereas Barney had a range of Aspie and neurotypical traits, and I was 'very likely an Aspie'. So, he's weird, but I'm weirder. Yah boo.

I started filling in online self-tests on Buster's behalf, altho' it wasn't very helpful once-removed - I don't know how Buster thinks all the time - but meantime I kept coming across questions that made me go: 'What? That's me! How did they know that?' or, in Johnny Cash's words: 'You been reading my mail.'

If you've ever felt like you've just dropped in from Mars or Lithuania, and you don't know the local customs and appropriate responses, have a look.

Just look anyway. It's interesting. It's fun. Just do it.

Something genetic then? You've got C. I've got Buster and also an autistic nephew...

Your Aspie score: 180 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 15 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

All the neurotypical points are in 'hunting' but I've never hunted animals so don't know what it means.

Buster's now 19 and after we've been saying for years that he's got loads of autistic/Apserger's traits (altho' maybe not classically autistic) the psychologist who came to see us recently actually acknowledged that we have a point! I don't know if it's the same everywhere, but in Buster's case the experts themselves seem to have missed the point that it's a spectrum, and now it's all a bit late...

May I ask what Buster's specific diag is. Is it a learning disability as the blog/transition is quite long. I'm just curious and trying to read the entire 'Not a barrel of laughs' On the third post I was sorry to hear about the lack of transitional services. Just mentioning it as I recently had a conversation with my paediatrician who said the same thing and assured me I can keep on seeing him till I'm about 30. :)
